This course is intended for students of Geology and Applied Geology License , aims to improve students' knowledge and use of the academic and scientific English. It will cover some of the areas of scientific communication that students should master in order to successfully promote their research, including how to write cohesive and coherent sentences and paragraphs, how to paraphrase, how to write research papers and abstracts, and how to prepare and deliver academic presentations.

This course is intended for students of non−English major in the Department of
Mathematics, Tlemcen University .
The course aims at developing students’ language skills in an English context
of mathematics with emphasis on reading, listening, speaking and writing. The
language content, mainly focuses on: firstly, key points of grammar and key
functions appropriate to this level; secondly, language items important for mathematical texts; thirdly, language skills developed as outlined below.
This course contains 4 units with a Glossary of mathematical terms and a
Glossary of computing terms and abbreviations designed to provide a minimum of
4 weeks of learning.
