      • General objectives of electrical engineering

Upon completion of this course, you will be able to:

        • Understand the properties of electric charge
        • Calculate the electric force exerted between charged particles
        • Determine the field produced by charges
        • Apply Gauss's theorem
        • Qualitatively understand the behavior of conductors
        • Apply Ohm's, Kirchhoff's, and Thévenin's laws
        • Define the concept of a magnetic field
        • Calculate the magnetic field using Biot-Savart's law

        • Requirements

In order to get the most out of this course, you should be familiar with:

          1. Mathematical concepts related to calculus: This includes concepts such as derivatives, integrals, limits, and functions.

          2. Describing the position vector in the Cartesian coordinate system: This includes understanding the concept of vectors, the three axes of the Cartesian coordinate system, and how to represent a point in space using coordinates.

          3. Basics of electricity: This includes understanding concepts such as voltage, current, resistance, power, and energy.
