Both physics and chemistry deal with matter. Physics focuses on how matter moves and ineteract. However, chemistry studies the composition of matter at the atomic level
Conducting experiments using hazardous chemicals in the laboratory requires mainly proper use and maintenance of equipment including having the right attitute in order to avoid any possible accident .
The toxic symbol is a pictogram which is often found on chemical products is designed to alert danger and hazards users may be exposed to. the information on labels should be read carefully so that the right precaution is taken
Various products used in the house and the working environment could be hazardous. Thus, users must comply with a regulation called the Control of Substances Harmful to Health or COSHH that informs what the hazard of the product is, how it may affect and the necessary precautions should be taken
Atoms are the basic building blocks of matter. Anything that takes up space and anything with mass is made up of atoms. An atom is a particle of matter that uniquely defines a chemical element. It consists of a central nucleus that is surrounded by one or more negatively charged electrons. The nucleus is positively charged and contains one or more relatively heavy particles known as protons and neutrons.
Depending on their composition, the different chemical elements are represented and distinguished in the periodic table. Each of the elements has an atomic number and a mass number.
The orerall charge of An atom is Zero. Once it gives up or receives electrons, it becomes ion. Ions can be either positively charged or negatively charged. When an atom loses electrons it becomes Cation. However, when it gains electron from any other atom it becomes anion.
