Completion requirements
This lecture introduces pharmacy students to a contemporary topic in
public health:
- Home HIV testing. It aims to develop your ability to read, understand, and discuss
medical texts in English, while expanding your scientific vocabulary related to
infectious diseases, diagnostics, and ethical issues in healthcare.
- Through reading comprehension, vocabulary work, you will reflect on the advantages
and drawbacks of home testing, understand the role of the FDA in drug/device
- Approval, and learn to express informed opinions on health innovations and patient
safety.
