n this module, the sudent learns the interpreting skills and gets the theoritical and practical knowledge he needs for a successful career or in pursuing further academic studies. The module is an introduction to interpreting in community settings (health care, human services, and legal settings). It emphasizes the unique role of the interpreter, current models and modes of interpreting, professional standards of practice, and developing pre-interpreting skills. Classes are taught in English and Arabic.
