Teaching scientific English to students in the Master 2 Applied Biochemistry course is of great importance in preparing them for their end-of-study projects, since the majority of documents are written in English, i.e. scientific articles and books. Furthermore, the need for this language arises from the fact that all presentations are given in English at international seminars and conferences. Articles in renowned journals are also written in English. To achieve this objective, we start by translating a few biochemistry articles to practise reading the essential elements of an article and then teach the students how to extract the methods used for the experimental part and the results obtained. Finally, the student must give an oral presentation, in the form of an article.
