    Language and communication courses typically aim to provide students with an understanding of how language is used in various contexts, such as scientific writing, interpersonal communication, group communication, giving presentations...

    The primary purpose of the course is to help students develop effective communication skills, both in written and spoken forms. This includes enhancing their ability to convey ideas clearly and persuasively, to listen actively and critically, and to engage in respectful and constructive dialogue with others.

    the purpose of the course would be to help biology students develop the communication skills necessary to succeed in their field, both in academic and professional settings. By improving their ability to communicate effectively in English, students can enhance their ability to share their research findings, collaborate with colleagues, and make a positive impact through communication.

      • Communication Space

        The communication space on Moodle, which typically includes features like chat, wiki, and glossary... serves several important purposes for students:

        1.       Collaboration and Engagement: The communication space enhance collaboration and engagement among students. This promotes active participation, exchange of ideas, and collective learning.

        2.       Receive Support: The communication space provides an avenue for students to offer and receive each other support.

        3.       Access to Information: The wiki and glossary features in the communication space offer students a platform to create and access shared knowledge resources.

        4.       Clarification and Feedback: The communication space serves as a platform for students to seek clarification from instructors. They can pose questions related to course content, assignments, or assessments and receive responses

        5.       Enhanced Communication Skills: \They learn to express their thoughts clearly, listen to others, and effectively communicate their ideas.


      • Aims of the course

        The aims of English language and communication course can vary depending on each student individual study program, doing his homework, activities, extrawork and the time he spend in learning and practicing the language, but here are some general aims that could apply:

        Aims:

        • To improve students' proficiency in the English language
        • To enhance students' ability to communicate effectively in English in a variety of contexts, both oral and written
        • To develop students' critical thinking and analysis skills through reading, writing, and discussion in English

        Measurable Goals:

        • Students will be able to use correct grammar and vocabulary in their writing and speaking in English
        • Students will be able to understand and analyze written and spoken English texts,
        • Students will be able to write coherent, essays in Scientific English
        • Students will be able to participate in group discussions

        • The prerequisites

          to be able to attend this course, the student must have:

          • Basic knowledge of English grammar, including the parts of speech (nouns, verbs, adjectives, etc.) and the structure of sentences
          • Familiarity with basic verb tenses, such as present, past, and future, and their uses
          • Basic reading comprehension skills and ability to understand written texts at a high school level or above
          • Intermediate level of vocabulary and understanding of common expressions and idioms in English
          • Basic understanding of sentence structure and the use of clauses

          • To assess whether students have these prerequisites, do the following test ((containing five exercises with their solutions), if you fail to do it or you need to complete your understanding read the recommendations:

          The main objective of an English Language and Communication course is to develop students' language skills in reading, writing, speaking, and listening in English. The course aims to help students become effective communicators in various contexts and situations, both in their personal and professional lives. Specifically, the course may focus on developing students' abilities to:
