    • INTRODUCTION:

      1.  This course is designed to develop students' reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills in English. It aims to equip students with the language tools necessary for effective communication in their field of study, focusing on Industrial Engineering. It also helps them to develop some soft skills that any engineer needs in his work, such as critical thinking, problem analysis, Problem-solving, and Communication skills...etc

      • Course Objectives:


        • To improve students' reading comprehension and critical thinking skills
        • To develop students' writing skills, including grammar, vocabulary, and organization
        • To enhance students' oral communication skills, including pronunciation, fluency, and presentation skills
        • To improve students' listening skills, including the ability to understand and respond to spoken English in academic and professional contexts
        • To provide students with the opportunity to practice and apply English language skills in the context of Industrial Engineering.

        • Course Topics:


          1. Introduction to Industrial Engineering: History and Evolution
          2. Introducing IE vocabulary: Some technical Functions and their applications 
          3. Robots Vs Humans: Will robots replace human workers in industrial engineering?
          4. Talents Vs Harwork: Is engineering talent innate or learned: a product of nature or nurture?
          5. Professional Communication Skills: communication skills that are essential for success in the field of industrial engineering.
          6. Group Discussion and Debate Skills

            • In-class participation and attendance (20%)
            • Homework assignments and tests (20%)
            • Final exam (60%)
