  • Course Description

    Students in Technical English courses will learn about verb tenses, prefixes, and suffixes, nouns and adjectives, how to avoid plagiarism, how to paraphrase, effectively presenting... to help them understand and use language more effectively. They will also develop their reading and speaking skills to better comprehend biomedical texts and communicate their ideas clearly.

    the Technical English courses will prepare students for their future by helping them develop the language skills they need to communicate effectively and confidently in their chosen professions.

    Classes will be held on Via Moodle and Teams. We encourage all students to attend every class and actively participate in the discussions to maximize their learning experience.

    Please note that a strong commitment to the course and regular attendance is essential for success. The course materials and additional resources will be provided to all registered students.

    • Space Comunication

      The purpose of Biomedical and Hospital Informatics space communication for students is to provide a platform for the exchange of knowledge and information related to the use of information technology in the biomedical and hospital settings. It aims to foster understanding and collaboration among students interested in this field by discussing recent topics.  


    • Course Aim

      The aims of an English language and communication course can vary depending on the individual student's study program, commitment to doing homework, participation in activities, engagement in extracurricular work, and the amount of time dedicated to learning and practicing the language. However, here are some general aims that can apply to such a course:

      Aims:

      1. To develop students communication skills in English.
      2. To enhance students' confidence in using English.
      3. To improve students' ability to effectively express ideas, opinions, and information in English.

      Measurable Objectives:

      1. By the end of the course, students will be able to engage in conversations.
      2. By the end of the course, students will have expanded their vocabulary in this field.
      3. Students will develop active reading skills, such as understanding main ideas, following instructions in English.


      • The prerequisites

        To enroll in this course, the students are required to possess the following: 

        • Fundamental understanding of English grammar, encompassing the various parts of speech (nouns, verbs, adjectives, etc.) and sentence structure. 

        • Proficiency in basic verb tenses, such as present, past, and future, and their respective applications. 

        • Essential skills in reading comprehension, enabling comprehension of written texts at a high school level or higher.

         • Intermediate level of vocabulary . 

        • Basic comprehension of sentence structure.

          The primary goal of this course is to enhance students' proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, and listening .  the course emphasizes the development of the following skills:

          1. Comprehending and analyzing written and spoken English.
          2. being familiar with biomedical vocabulary.
